This Valentine’s Day, the Subaru Love Promise was brought to life in a heartfelt and memorable way for the team at Darrell Waltrip Subaru.
In the spirit of the holiday, two of our team members had the privilege of visiting residents at Morning Pointe Assisted Living and Memory Care, delivering hand written Valentine’s Day cards and thoughtfully prepared goodie bags. Rather than simply leaving the gifts at the front desk, they were invited to walk the halls, knock on doors, and personally share each small token of kindness.
What began as a simple gesture quickly became something far more meaningful. Residents welcomed the visitors with warm smiles, heartfelt conversations, and stories that underscored the enduring power of human connection. Some reminisced aboutValentine’s Days from decades past; others clasped hands a little longer, expressing gratitude for the time taken to visit. In those quiet exchanges, it became clear that the greatest gift was not what was inside the bag, but the care and presence behind it. For one team member, the visit carried special personal significance. Nearly nine years earlier, before returning to the automotive industry, she had served as a resident assistant in the same community. Walking those familiar halls once again stirred cherished memories and reaffirmed a lifelong commitment to service and compassion.
